VLTOR KeyMod VIS 14"

I think we all know about the newest "Tweak of the Week" in the AR-World, KeyMod, but I haven't necessarily been one to tout about the KM platform until now. If you've ever held a KeyMod handguard, then you know how much weight it shaves off compared to the traditional quad rail, top-rail, or even a bench rail; not to mention the modular compatibility with the positioning of rail sections, scout light mounts, QD slots, the list goes on and on. Now VLTOR (who conceptualized, engineered, and perfected the KeyMod platform) has introduced their newest innovation, the VIS KM Polylithic Upper. If you are like me, and try to squeeze the greatest accuracy potential out of your rig, then this is the upper chassis you want. The VIS14" rail weighs in at just over 21oz, and the VIS12" weighs in at 19oz. (It is un-freaking-believable)!!! Not to mention the balance on these things are superb. I honestly have never had more balanced, secure feeling build than I have with the VIS. "Are there more heavy duty alternatives out there?" I'm sure there are, but at the cost of a lot more weight, and a lot less options. But the compromise you receive, and the outright customizability you have with adding rails where you want them, even at the 45° points, and the solidity and stability you receive with what is basically a monolithic upper makes this rig unbeatable. The only thing that beats it is Bauer. Precision's amazing customer service. BUY THIS UPPER, AND BUY IT HERE!!!! Please note that a suppressor collar on a 14.5"bbl WILL NOT clear the VISKM-14. I found this out the hard way, but I loved it so much I ordered the VISKM-12.
