I really like this gun, but there are things to be aware of, before buying: -The front sight, though technically a GI cut is pretty fixed in there. If you were thinking about upgrading the sights, you may be better off spending the extra hundred on a different Tisas model with the appropriate slide cuts. -This thing kicks like a mule, partly because the recoil spring is pretty stiff. You are planning on doing upgrades, like a full length guide rod or a compensator, highly advise getting a lighter recoil spring (those thing are usually less than $10) -You should upgrade the beavertail. Full-fit won't work, but drop-in should fit. Other than that, it's an excellent 1911. The magazine hole is beveled, so you don't really need a mag well. The trigger pull is very nice and crisp.

Very impressed with the overall form and function. Upgraded the grips as they are cheap plastic but otherwise this thing is very nice.
