This Ruger 22/45 LITE with optic boasts a simple one-button takedown for quick field-stripping and thorough chamber-to-muzzle cleaning; by pressing a button at the back of the frame, the barrel-receiver assembly easily tilts up and off the grip frame without needing tools. It has a comfortable, precision-molded polymer grip frame, featuring a serrated frontstrap and a checkered backstrap for enhanced handling. The design includes a lightweight, ventilated, aerospace-grade aluminum receiver and a tensioned stainless steel barrel. Some models offer a threaded barrel with a 1/2''-28 thread pattern, accommodating popular muzzle accessories. The cold hammer-forged barrel ensures ultra-precise rifling, enhancing accuracy and longevity. The firearm's design is also focused on ergonomics, featuring an ergonomic bolt stop and checkered, 1911-style grip panels for a visually appealing, non-slip hold. Its internal cylindrical bolt construction guarantees permanent sight-to-barrel alignment, delivering higher accuracy potential than conventional moving-slide designs. Additionally, it has a contoured ejection port and easy-to-grasp bolt ears for reliable operation. The ambidextrous manual safety can be altered for left-side only use, and it includes a conveniently located push-button magazine release on the left side of the frame. The magazine drops free upon release for easy reloading and features a magazine disconnect that prevents discharge when the magazine is removed. The firearm comes with two 10-round magazines.
